We'll get to know each other & start your project with a complimentary in home consultation. Together we'll discuss the space and your vision. We’ll discuss your aesthetic preferences & review our portfolio for ideas and inspiration. Finally, we'll take measurements of the area, if applicable. We'll use this information to create a customized & original design concept for you to review. An estimate for your project will be sent along with the design.
Once you've placed an order your project will go onto our production schedule. During this time we may visit again to finalize any measurements or details. Your project will be built entirely in our shop & once completed, professionally finished in your colour and product of choice. An estimated completion date will be given to you at the time of order. If you have any questions about how we make our pieces please get in touch.
Once the finishing is complete we'll be in touch to set up the final installation or delivery. If your project requires installation you can expect a clean and finished space when we're done.

Robert has been influenced since his childhood in the art of fabrication. His father Peter has owned and operated Pete’s Welding for over 35 years. Growing up in the shop led to Robert’s enrollment and completion of the Industrial Design program at Fanshawe College. He then spent many years traveling through Europe and Asia while absorbing the cultures and architecture. In 2008 he created Red Iron Design & through education, life experience and travels, Robert has developed a truly unique design approach as well as the skills to create quality and functional pieces.
Katie has been involved with Red Iron Design from the beginning tasked with marketing, website design and other behind the scene duties. Although she continues with these duties, Katie joined Robert full time in late 2010 to expand into sales and ultimately design. Trained at London's Fanshawe College in Interior Design Katie has transferred basic design principals and elements into the design of all the pieces Red Iron Design makes. She draws a lot of her metalwork inspiration from nature and classic and traditional architectural elements.
